La Scuola d'Italia Galileo Galilei is an extremely unique non-profit 501(c)3 public charity organization, which was established in 2014 with the goal of creating a K-12 Bilingual International Italian Language School in Pittsburgh, PA and Cultural Association.

Our Goal is to offer a wide array of interactive, fun, and fully immersive educational programs for adults and children, additional language programs, and social activities that focus on the Italian language and the art, the culture, and the history of Italy, as well as studying other languages and cultures. We aim to serve all individuals living in the United States, by offering courses to all who have an interest in learning or maintaining the richness and the beauty of the Italian language and culture for themselves and their children or other languages as well.

We are currently providing an Educational Program with the same curriculum used in Italy following Montessori and Reggio Emilia as well as i Campi d’Esperienza “The 5 Fields of Experience”.

Each year, we offer many new and exciting programs in Italian, including a summer camp for children, an adult program, an Early Learning Center, daycare, preschool throughout the year, a Group Conversation, Book Club, Film nights, Presentations, and so much more. 

We NOW plan to open and expand our school into a NEW BUILDING and NEW CULTURAL COMMUNITY CENTER for EVENTS, and allow a space for other Organizations to meet as well. In the near future that will allow us to continue our past programming, collaborate with other organizations to create new Programming, all while expanding into an Elementary and Middle School. 

We plan to increase our events and create new programming, offering a social and safe environment for everyone to unite and come together as a community, and a new larger location to accommodate all of the school's educational needs, programming, and to offer a safe place for all to celebrate our history, heritage, and welcome everyone from the community to learn more about Italian Americans in Pittsburgh, and to not forget our Italian history, culture, and heritage. 

Through these activities we hope to regain a lost culture in the Pittsburgh area and other areas throughout the United States and to offer something unique and wonderful to the community.
