Preferred candidates skills:

Speak Italian, Spanish, French, Greek or another foreign language requested, but not required.

Previous work experience or educational experience with small children. employer or volunteer work.

Degrees in Early Education or child development are a plus, but not required.

Related degrees from another country are also accepted.

Must already be able to work in the United States.
Salary is based on experience and that experience must be verified by a previous employer or volunteer work.

Currently looking for an individual who is interested in a position for cleaning the facility, 2hrs a day after 5:30pm/6pm daily, and one day, possibly 3hrs, once a week for the more major cleaning. CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR SECRETARY.

Job description:
-
Assist with daily paperwork, signing and scanning of papers for enrollments from parents.

Tours
-
Assist and create staff schedules.
-
Handling staff vacation requests; as per school policies.
-
Handling call offs and last-minute illness of staff members and finding substitutions early in the morning and late at night
-
Answering the phone
-
Calling parents and families to discuss issues, illnesses, and concerns of staff
-
Making sure that staff are always in ratio
-
Sending any extra hourly staff home for the day, if not needed throughout the day
-
Give permission to staff who are ill to leave early or not come in based on staffing numbers and substitutions found
-
Assisting with any emergency situations or ratio situations, moving children if need be, due to staff illnesses
-
Making sure that staff are getting along and working well together
-
Report any issues with staffing or children to the Executive Director
-
Meet with the Executive Director or Main teacher and the staff member or parent to discuss with staff members or parent any issues; and take notes during meetings.
-
Must keep all information private.
Pay:
$10 an hour
Hours:
Flexible, per the needs of the school. Full time is preferred, part-time is acceptable
Individual must be available for on call, last minute call offs, late at night and early in the morning, to find a substitute when needed
Individual must be an independent, hard worker, who can handle more than one situation at a time.
Individual must be an active participant of the staff and a team player
Must be able to work well with others and to keep a peaceful work environment
Must be able to work closely with both the staff and the Executive Director and report all incidences to the Executive Director in a very timely manner
