Gaius Julius Caesar (100 b.c.- 44 b.c.) is considered one of the greatest characters in the history of all time. His fame is linked to excellent personal qualities and to his role in Rome's history. He was at the same time a genius general, a skilled politician, a consul, a dictator, a maximum pontiff, a speaker, and a great writer. Julius Caesar played a fundamental role in the shift of the government system, he actually transformed the Roman Republic into the powerful Roman Empire.
